Five Months of Decay
Back in 2019 during the pandemic, I went back to my mothers house in Minneapolis, Minnesota. There was a bunch of compostable plates and cutlery from a party that never happened, and I wanted to test the composting speed of decay. I burried the plates and cutlery and left them for 5 months. When I dug them back up, I was intrigued by the level of decay and the forms they made. I stuck these pieces and the dirt on canvasses.
