Kugri Chairs
Kugri / A Ghanaian term from the Nangodi region meaning the earth spriting-stone
Kugri Chairs are further exploration of the original kugri stones. The two chairs are made to resemble early forms of seating where materials reflected their immediate surroundings (stone and wood). They have vine like back rests made from scots pine. The stones are made from recycled paper mixed with salvaged and ground plasterboard. The dining chair (green) was then painted using Lakeland natural organic paint, and distressed to resemble rock.
