GyPulp

As part of Colab Material Library

Made in London, Gypulp is a material made from post consumer paper offcuts and recycled gypsum. This project started as a culmination of postgraduate research at the Royal College of Art. The original gypulp is made from salvaged newspaper mixed with ground plasterboard and a VOC free resin and new collections include sources of paper offcuts from UK based paper mills.

As a studio we subscribe to the wabi-sabi philosophy looking to nature and its imperfections and irregularities as a guide. We believe in preserving the artisan qualities and craftmanship within our practice, and as such all of our tiles and panels are hand made with care ensuring each one is individually unique.

Gypulp is suitable for furniture, and interior surfaces in both commercial and domestic environments. The material can be smooth like marble or textured covering large undulating surfaces. Available in a range of colors and sizes (minimum 10mm thickness).
